Follow us for music updates from artists in the Fedi who distribute their songs on fair platforms.

NHAM is an online music magazine for all things Fedi-music. It draws connections between indie musicians, fair distribution platforms and listeners, under a shared ethos.

We publish regular new music releases, reviews and news from the community to an audience of thousands of unique daily visitors.

As the go to music curation platform in the Fediverse NHAM also hosts music videos, has a radio channel and contains gig listings for both real life and online performances.

We aim to help develop and nurture the ecosystem which envelopes all of the fair platforms that currently support indie artists in The Fediverse, and in turn enhance discovery, distribution, attribution, fair artist payment, consent and trust. Interoperability and community are key to making this work.

NHAM Update Opus 7 (Frantic Catch-Up Edition)

By @sknob

To say the the past few weeks have been busy for NHAM is quite the understatement!

Of course, the big event of the season is Radio Free Fedi Fest 25, which is still ongoing as of this writing. It kicked off with a fiery 80’s Kids show by @shannoncurtis and @hilljam, followed by a special live version of the monthly NHAM mixtape, showcasing featured RFFF25 artists and nervously co-hosted by Sam (@ethicalrevolution) and myself.

Check out the NHAM Live Performances section to relive some of the livestreams, including sets by Kristoffer Lislegaard (@lislegaard) and Pulusound (@ahihi) and even me.

You’ll also find the calendar of upcoming RFFF25 livestreams and other live events on the NHAM ATTEND page.

And before I forget and move on, be sure to catch @lorenzosmusic’s interview with the incomparable @RobertaFidora!

Meanwhile, NHAM Radio continues to evolve, with 4 hours on Friday & Saturday nights (UTC) now more dance-oriented, while Sunday afternoons (UTC) have more of a chill vibe 😎.

One of the truly cool things about NHAM if you’ll let me toot our own horn for a minute, is that if you’ve been too busy (preparing and rehearsing for livestreams for instance 👀) to keep up with fedi music NEWS and new music RELEASES, or if you generally suffer from FOMO, you can just visit the site anytime and catch up on all the news, articles, reviews and new music released since your last visit!

I know I have some serious catching up to do, because our fedi musicians sure have been busy since the last NHAM Opus update!

We have other exciting things in store for the site, but you’ll have to wait for the next update (or watch the RFFF25 Special Live NHAM show with Q+A) to find out more 😇

See you all soon in the RFFF25 chat room!
