NHAM Update Opus 13 (Anniversary Edition)
NHAM Update Opus 13 (Anniversary Edition)
By @sknob
I can’t believe it’s been a year since the launch of NHAM. Then again, as I mentioned before, my brain doesn’t process numbers (and dates) properly.
Which isn’t going to stop me from foolishly talking stats, again. So here we go.
Since NHAM launched, we have published over 900 posts, including:
– Over 500 releases
– Over 140 news articles
– Over 100 reviews
…many of which send you merrily on your way to other sites, because while we want to be the go to place to find anything fedi-music related, we’re not in it for the clicks or the clout, but to help with music discovery and growing the community.
But… speaking of clicks, we are happy to report that the average number of unique visitors per day during the last year was close to 1700 (1697 to be precise), with current numbers above 2000. Hopefully this means that we’re doing something right.
But wait, there’s more!
– Sam (@ethicalrevolution) has published a dozen or so NHAM Mixtapes
– Sam has also added tons of great tracks to NHAM Radio, the best internet radio (yes I’m biased but I also mean it), and links to other great radios, like Not What I Call Radio Bonkwave, and theindiebeat.fm (which includes NHAM, Bonkwave and @audiointerface channels, among others)
– NHAM has also collected over 150 hand-picked videos, which helped The Indie Beat Television get off to a roaring start
– And NHAM has dedicated program slots on TIBtv (check the TIBtv schedule to find a time-slot near you!)
Finally, the last 12 months saw:
– 1 major site redesign, which brought NHAM Radio and TIBtv to the home page, among other changes
– 1 botched fedi handle migration. Please follow our new handle @ nham @ nham.co.uk (@nham)! We are still missing about a third of the followers we lost.
– 1 livestream for Radio Free Fedi Fest 25
– 1 pilot episode of NHAM Sound Table, which premiered on @TIBtv
Hopefully I didn’t mess up any numbers too badly and didn’t forget anything important.
Stay tuned for further developments and announcements, and above all, thank you for spreading the fedi music gospel far and wide, and for supporting the artists, the fair music platforms, and the many other sites and initiatives that make it such a rich and vibrant community!
