“How do I connect with artists on the Fediverse?” Cheat Sheet
This question crops up regularly on the fediverse, so here is a cheat sheet that should help anyone interested in finding fedi music and connecting with fedi musicians to get started.
TL;DR
- NHAM (@mixtape@nham.co.uk): This site, featuring links to fedi music news, reviews, events, radios, videos & releases.
- IndieArt Support Community (@hello@fedi.indieart.support): Vetted artist directory, built on the shoulders of the late, great Radio Free Fedi.
- Bonkwave Community (bonkwave & notbonkwave hashtags): What is Bonk Wave? What is not Bonk Wave? That’s right, and it’s also a thriving community of fedi musicians.
- Fair Trade Music Fridays (@ftmf@botgts.evilgeniusrobot.uk): Fair trade music recommendations every first Friday of the month.
- The Indie Beat Radio (@mizkirsten): New Music Discovery, featuring dedicated NHAM, Bonkwave and AudioInterface channels, with links to artists.
